I bought the .380 max HATED IT DEEPLY… switched to the .22 lcp2 with a ArmaLaser on it and it’s farrrrrrrrrrr more useful. Plus I took out the manual safety and the mag disconnect. Completely changed the pew pew even better. Just use mini mags in it and it runs like a dream. I did a 1000 round burn down on the lcp2 in 22. Only one round didn’t go off. One….

Great video from a reasonable and well-spoken gentleman. Three thoughts on revolvers: 1) When you pull the trigger they go bang, and if they don't go bang pull the trigger again. No fumbling around clearing jams, etc. 2) No safety that you forget to disengage when you have just experienced an adrenalin dump and your brain is in reptile mode, and 3) If you can master a DA trigger, you will shoot anything else very well. I kind of think of revolvers as the manual transmissions of the gun world, and I like both revolvers and manuals. Stay safe, people.

I will keep it simple. If the market forces dictate that revolvers carrying 8 shots of .357 magnum have now become a viable option, then revolvers are long from being obsolete.

Carry a S&W 340pd because it’s light. The stats indicate I’ve got enough. I do carry speed strips just in case. I’ve tried so hard to find a semi auto pistol that doesn’t feel huge against my side and just can’t. The 340pd disappears and the weight is minimal. Save the high capacity rigs for the house and the range. Enjoy the simplicity of the revolver.

I think my stock .422 had a 2 LB. trigger, it made it almost full auto in fast shooting, I hope S&W kept that awesome trigger group, super-fast and super accurate!

Rifle definitely makes a lot more difference, however I’ve watched a couple of videos of both heritage comparisons and Ruger single six comparisons, and it seems that the heritage doesn’t do a very good job of holding in pressure. The velocity difference on different heritage barrel lengths with the same round is non-existent. And then when I’ve seen the single six 22lr vs 22mag velocity differences they have been more dramatic than what you’ve gotten here. I think I saw about a 200-300 fps gain between LR and magnum with the same bullet weight out of the single six

Just traded a 6 in. GP100 for a 6 in. blued Python. The Ruger was rugged, reliable and built like a tank, just not as refined or as beautiful. The trigger also left a lot to be desired. The Python is something I can proudly hand down to my grandson. I prefer Smith over both Ruger and Colt, but the Hillary Hole's a no-go for me.

Nice video!!! I have to say, as much as I would like to have a Colt, having to get work done on it for reliability after that purchase price is a no go. I do believe, somewhat, in buy once cry once. That also, unfortunately, means buyer be ware. Personally, every gun collection should have a good revolver. Thanks for posting, I'm doing my research now.

The remaining cooler parts of the year here in Pennsylvania I will carry my Smith & Wesson model 66 combat revolver. I feel as if where I live a revolver is adequate for my carrying needs. Friends, you need more context on this. This is not a case to split the baby about egos. Chad Read came on another man's property to argue with Chad's ex-wife / another man's woman, a man not party to whatever legal wrangling was going on. Chad Read was told multiple times to leave the house and property, and he did not. Chad Read physically assaulted the man twice. Chad threatened to take the gun from the man and kill him with it. Chad tried twice to take the gun from the man, and in fact ejected him from his own home. It was justified self defense. Chad should have left when he was told to leave. He threatened to take the ex-wife to court, which is what he should have done. Instead, he chose to trespass, threaten death, assault, rob, and take a gun from a man defending his life and home. How far is someone allowed to go before you can say "NOW, you can defend yourself in your own home and property?". Chad Read and the ex are convicted felons (Federal, Fraud), and Chad has a history of domestic violence, so Chad probably had a propensity for getting his way under questionable circumstances. The kids are definitely the ultimate victims in this. Lesson One: You cannot enact custody agreements on your own, that is the job of the lawyers and the court. Do so, and you may lose your custody rights. Lesson Two: Don't bring your drama to another man / woman's home, and leave when you are told to leave. Lesson Three: When someone produces a gun, don't think you are Superman or Neo; take value in your life and get the hell out of there. Chad pushed it, and lost his life.

HELP PLEASE ANYONE: I'm trying to choose a daily concealed carry & love revolver. Looking for something like the lady S/W, hammerless .38 Special or similar. My only concern as a female is that I never have pockets like a man that it can fit in. I don't think an inside holster would work on most of my clothes. I want a belly band but, not sure how that would work out with a revolver? I refuse to put the gun in a purse or handbag for many reasons. Any suggestions please?

Late to the comment section but most people use a laser wrong. You use the same technique as a RDS and thats being target focused not laser/dot focused. When people say they chase the dot too much that means they're not using it right. And just like losing a RDS under recoil it works the same way for a laser, it's impossible to track the laser or RDS under recoil, this all comes back to grip and recoil managment to return to previous firing position. Now in situations you can't be behind the sights you will run into those issues but still be able to effectively engage the target When you become target focused a laser is an aswome tool. On my EDC gun I run 2 different zeros 25 yards with RDS and either 7 or 50 yard zero with green laser. Depending on the training I do.

I like to fish and kayak so if I am around water I prefer carrying my revolver. I also like it when I just need something small to throw in a coat pocket. If I am going to a shady area, or just in general my EDC is a semi-auto.
